Downing admits bad finishing could cost us

Someone finally had to say it and Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has admitted Liverpool will blow their season if they continue to fail to take their chances. Downing, who admitted he is as guilty as anyone when it comes to bad finishing, said we must discover a ruthless streak to bring the victories that our football has deserved.

"Our performances have been very good this season, and we have created plenty of chances, but the biggest issue so far is we haven't converted enough," admitted the Liverpool new boy. "Hands up, if we'd taken more of our opportunities this season then we'd be in a much better position, and we all know that." "We haven't scored enough goals and that means we haven't killed teams off”.
